British foreign secretary during WW1, diplomat, British ambassador to the United States from 1919-1920, Liberal statesman, publicist, established the Wellington House in 1913 for British propaganda (public opinion) which later became the Tavistock Institute (1921), author of The Charm of Birds, Twenty-Five Years, 1892-1916 on the lead up to the Great War
